Safelite COO Rich Harrison has give up his position.
A spokesman for Safelite confirmed this morning that Rich Harrison, previous chief operations officer ( COO ) for Safelite, is not with Safelite nor parent company Belron. Safelite speaker Melina Metzger suggested glassBYTEs.com / AGRR mag that Steve Miggo, who recently was named senior VP of operations and human resources, will be taking over Harrison's commitments.
Harrison was promoted to COO in 2007 and managed all of the company's field sales and retail auto glass fix and replacement enterprises, including its wholesale and warehouse operations. He also worked with Belron in a worldwide role and aided with its integration of all of its U.S. Acquisitions, including that of Safelite. Prior to the amalgamation of Safelite and Belron, Harrison served as Managing Director of Belron Inc.
According to information from Argyle Executive Forum, a membership-based professional services firm, Harrison had been lined up to speak on Safelite's behalf at its impending 2012 Purchaser Care Leadership Forum in May.
Safelite provided the following statement to glassBYTEs.com / AGRR magazine : "We appreciate Rich's service during his roughly twenty years in the automobile glass industry, particularly Belron companies including Safelite AutoGlass. He used to be a part of the team that has led straight to Safelite doubling its business in the last 5 years. We wish him much luck and pre-eminence in his future endeavors."
Harrison had not yet responded to requests for comment at press time. Tags: windshield replacement, Safelite, repair, replacement, auto, windshield, cracked, broken, smashed, autoglass, glass, windshield repair, car glass, safe lite.
